Joining Forces with Positive Development!

Hi Friends,

I’d like to kick off 2021 with some pretty exciting news!  I am thrilled to announce that I have officially joined the team at Positive Development, bringing comprehensive developmental therapy options to the autism communities in south Florida, California, and New Jersey!  

So, how is Positive Development different? Glad you asked! Here are some starting points: 

*We use a developmental approach to intervention.  Instead of focusing on behaviors, we focus on the whole child and meet them exactly where they are.  We support each child to build natural, meaningful connections with their families and communities as they achieve greater developmental progress, independence, and joy.

*High quality team!  With PD your child doesn’t just get a therapist- your family gets a team! Our transdisciplinary team includes some of the best developmentally minded therapists in the country. The entire team works together regularly to review the plan and progress of every child, making gains and generalization happen at a much faster rate. 

*Parent Involvement. Research shows that the more involved the parents are in intervention, the more effective it becomes.  Our goal is to empower parents with the tools, training and support to be their child’s best play partner.  This way, parents can keep progress going through everyday interactions.  

*Breaking Barriers While there is mounting evidence to support a developmental approach to intervention for kids with autism, until now, insurance companies have only covered behavioral services. We’re working to change that because you and your child deserve the most effective options available!

I am thrilled to join this incredible team as the Director of Training and Community Relations and honored to be working with incredibly talented professionals in south Florida and beyond to make sure all children and families in the autism community are able to access the services they deserve!
